Competing at the ITA/Oracle Midwest Regional Championships, Nielsen advanced to the round of 16 in singles play. She defeated Natalie Favia of Carthage 7-6, 6-2 before easily handling Luther’s Devon Bourget 6-1, 6-2. Nielsen’s weekend was ended in a 3-6, 1-6 loss to Grace Reiman of Bethel. With her two wins, the sophomore improves her overall record to 10-2 on the season.
