Carius scored a game-high 35 points and grabbed ten rebounds to lead Monmouth in a 101-91 win over Eureka to open the season. During the Scots 12-3 run late in the second half to open up the lead, Carius scored eight points, including six straight. The forward finished the game 10-for-18 from the field and 13-of-17 from the line as his final two free throws put Monmouth over the century mark.
