Petri entered game two against Thomas More in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Maroons leading by one at 4-3. The lefthander closed out the game with four scoreless innings while allowing just two hits. He also struck out 11 meaning all but one of his 12 outs came via the “K.” It also brought his season total to 27 strikeouts in just 11 innings pitched so far this season.
