What better way to start the outdoor season off than with a school record and a top-five national mark. Hintz threw the hammer 58.65m (192-5) to win the Wash U Invite and bettered his previous program best by three feet. The throw also ranks him first in the MWC and fifth in Division III. The senior added a winning and conference-leading toss in the discus at 44.35m and finished third in the shot put at 14.10m.
