Matsubara helped Grinnell win seven of eight games last week and earn a spot in the MWC Tournament as she hit .633 at the plate and slugged 1.100. The freshman went 19-for-30 with five doubles, three triples, and a home run. She drove in nine runs while scoring 12 times and tied school records for runs scored in a game (4) and doubles (3) while helping the Pioneers to a program best 13 conference wins.
