Maddie Ramsey led a potent Illinois College offense with a .559 hitting percentage as the Lady Blues started off 2019 with a 3-0 record. In a sweep of Rockford, Ramsey didn't need to do much, logging just three kills and an error (her only one of the weekend) on six attempts. The heavy lifting started on Saturday as she went for 13 kills on 27 attacks with no errors in a four-set win over Simpson and then followed up with 18 kills on 26 attempts with no errors in a sweep of Anderson.
