Jaxon Stratton recorded a career high in tackles, picked off a pass and led the Lawrence defense to a shutout in a 28-0 victory at Grinnell. Stratton had a career-high 13 tackles, which led all tacklers in the game, and picked up 1.0 TFLs. Stratton’s interception midway through the fourth quarter deep in Lawrence territory also snuffed out Grinnell’s last scoring chance to preserve the shutout. It marked the first time Lawrence had shut out an opponent in a season opener since 1981.
