Cross’s defense was instrumental in Monmouth’s 2-0 weekend. The senior midfielder helped the Scots to a 2-1 double overtime win at Concordia Chicago on Friday by keeping CUC in check with just two shot attempts in the overtime periods. On Sunday, a 4-1 win at Buena Vista, Cross was part of a unit that held the Beavers to a mere four shots, just two on goal. Cross put both of her shots in the game on goal and added a score in the 63rd minute as Monmouth stayed unbeaten on the year.
