Beirne had the best weekend of his career in lifting St. Norbert to a 109-79 win over Grinnell and a 77-57 win over Cornell. Beirne posted 32 points and 13 rebounds – both establishing career-highs – in just 26 minutes against Grinnell, going 13-for-19 from the floor and 6-for-6 at the free-throw line. Against Cornell, Beirne opened the game with consecutive 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 17 points and added five rebounds in 28 minutes. For the week, Beirne was 19-for-29 (65.5 percent) from the floor and was a perfect 9-for-9 at the free-throw line. He also increased his MWC-leading offensive rebound total to 61, 13 more than any other player.
