Janusiak Named Men’s Cross Country Top Performer

GRINNELL, Iowa – This week’s Midwest Conference Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week is Lawrence University’s Josh Janusiak. 

Weekly Notes

Janusiak led Lawrence to the best finish among all Midwest Conference teams at the massive Brissman-Lundeen Invitational last Friday, hosted by Augustana College. Janusiak finished 70th and covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:14.4. It was Janusiak's fastest time of the season by a minute and ranks as the third-fastest time in the conference. Led by Janusiak, Lawrence finished 19th in the 50-team meet, and the Vikings were tops among the eight MWC teams in the meet.

Notable Performances
Josh Lindsay finished 15th out of 199 runners from all NCAA divisions at the Rhodes College Invitational in Memphis, Tenn. The Cornell College senior was third among all NCAA Division III competitors in the 25-team meet. Lindsay covered the 8K course in 26:38 for his third top-20 finish of the season. The Rams placed ninth in the team race.

St. Norbert College’s Jacob Wittmershaus set a personal record as he broke 27 minutes (26:46) in the 8K for the first time in his career and led the Green Knights to a 21st place finish at Augustana.
