GRINNELL, Iowa – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played October 21-27, 2024, on Tuesday.

MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.

For the fall season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (football, soccer) and Tuesday (cross country, swimming & diving, women’s tennis, volleyball) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.

The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:

Men’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Noah McAdam, Lake Forest College
McAdam won both backstroke events as Lake Forest defeated MSOE but fell to the hosts in a double dual at Carthage on Saturday. His time of 52.98 in the 100-back was nearly two seconds faster than the runner-up's performance and he won the 200-back by more than four seconds with a clocking of 1:58.02. Both times lead the league so far this year while his 22.18 in the 50-freestlye was good for third at the meet and third in the conference. McAdam added a 48.01 leadoff split in the 400-free relay and ranks second in the MWC in the 100-free.

Women’s Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week
Isabella Rozenbergas, Lake Forest College
Rozenbergas excelled in her collegiate debut, winning three individual races with conference-best times, contributing to a victory in the meet-opening 200-medley relay, and turning one of the program's fastest performances in two different events as Lake Forest defeated MSOE but fell to the hosts in a double dual at Carthage on Saturday. Her 24.41 in the 50-freestyle was the best in the field by nearly a second and ranks fourth in team history. Rozenbergas also won the 200-breaststroke by nearly 10 seconds (2:30:03) and the 100-butterfly by almost four (57:29) and already ranks third in school history in the latter event. Swim Cloud ranks her first in the conference and 52nd in the nation so far this season.

Volleyball Defensive Performer of the Week
Ally Olmstead, Cornell College
Olmstead dominated in the front row, averaging 1.45 blocks per set during Cornell's 3-0 week as the Rams stretched their winning streak to six matches. The first-year recorded seven blocks in a 3-1 victory over NCAA-votes getter North Park, and posted six more in a 3-1 win over CCIW contender Carthage. Olmstead also hit .240 for the week.

Volleyball Offensive Performer of the Week
Caroline Wolters, Knox College
Caroline Wolters led Knox to a red-letter week with two victories last week, beating both Eureka and Ripon on four sets. First, she racked up 17 kills and swung at a .324 percentage while also accumulating a career-high 30 digs, blocking two attempts and serving up an ace in the win over the Red Devils. On Saturday, she led the team once again with 13 kills, 13 digs, and another ace and block to subdue the Red Hawks. This is the first time in two years the Prairie Fire have won consecutive matches.
