Lake Forest’s 2024 Men's Soccer Campaign Concludes in NCAA First Round

EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin – The 2024 men’s soccer season came to an end for the Lake Forest College Foresters on Friday afternoon with a 5-0 loss to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship.
 
The Blugolds took control early, scoring three first-half goals at the 11:43, 18:49, and 39:15 marks. They added two more in the second half at 56:10 and 75:50.
 
Eau Claire outshot Lake Forest 9-4 in the game, including an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal.
 
The Blugolds, now 16-1-4 overall, advance to face the winner of Hope College (13-2-3) and DePauw University (10-4-6) on Saturday, November 16, at 1:00 p.m.
 
Lake Forest qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season after sweeping both the MWC regular-season and tournament titles. The Foresters conclude their season with a 10-8-3 overall record (7-0-1 MWC).
