OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – Midwest Conference regular season and tournament champion Lake Forest College earned three of the four major women’s soccer awards as the all-conference teams were announced on Friday morning.

The Foresters’ Izzy DeStefano was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Year, while her teammate Maddie Vasquez was honored as the Newcomer of the Year. Lake Forest’s coaching staff, led by T.R. Bell alongside assistants Hiwa Brown, Cassidy Price and Rob Samuels, was recognized as the MWC Coaching Staff of the Year. Monmouth College's Avery Parks was recognized as the Defensive Player of the Year.

The top offensive weapon on the only Division III women’s soccer team in the country without a loss or tie, DeStefano was at the top or near the top of nearly every offensive category in Midwest Conference play. Across eight MWC matches, she led the league in shots (36), shots on goal (23) and assists (7). She was also tied for third in points (15) and tied for seventh in goals (4).

Parks strengthened a Monmouth defense that just missed the MWC Tournament by a tiebreaker. She helped the Fighting Scots go unbeaten in their first three conference matches, totaling two shutouts across MWC play.

Vasquez was another focal point of the 20-0 Foresters’ offensive attack. Within Midwest Conference action, she finished inside the top 10 in every offensive category: game-winning goals (T-2nd, 2), assists (T-6th, 4), points (T-6th, 12), goals (T-7th, 4), shots (8th, 22) and shots on goal (T-8th, 12).
