OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — The United Soccer Coaches announced the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s All-Americans on Thursday, December 4.
After standout seasons, Lake Forest College’s Izzy DeStefano (3rd Team) and Peter Cirbo (4th Team) were recognized with All-American honors.
DeStefano helped Lake Forest win its first 21 matches of the 2025 season as the Foresters advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In the process, the Foresters won their third consecutive Midwest Conference title and second MWC Tournament crown in three years.
A two-time MWC Offensive Player of the Year, 2023 MWC Newcomer of the Yeaer and recent first team All-Region IX honoree, DeStefano was an All-MWC first team choice for the third straight season. She is tied for most assists in the country with 15, totaling 41 points and 13 goals to rank 18th and 53rd nationally, respectively. DeStefano also stands fourth in the country with 0.68 assists per game.
Cirbo was the engine for a Forester team that opened the season with 15 consecutive wins en route to a 19-2 overall record. Lake Forest won the MWC title for the third time in four seasons, clinching its fourth consecutive MWC Tournament title (and fourth straight NCAA Tournament berth).
He capped off his 2025 season with 32 points, 11 goals and 10 assists, leading the league in all three categories. His 10 assists are 17th in Division III, and he ranks in the top five in the country with six game-winning goals. Cirbo was named the MWC Offensive Player of the Year and a first team All-MWC selection last month, also earning All-Region IX honors from the United Soccer Coaches this week.
Cirbo becomes the first Midwest Conference men’s soccer player to be named an All-American since Lake Forest’s Gaston Aubert was recognized in 2019, while DeStefano is the first MWC women’s soccer athlete to be selected an All-American since Grinnell College’s Gwen Holtzman in 2018.
