GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Illinois College sophomore Charlie Lardi has been named the ABCA/Rawlings Region 9 Pitcher of the Year and a First Team All-Region 9 selection, as announced on Tuesday, May 27.
 
Lardi headlines the ten Midwest Conference (MWC) baseball players recognized with All-Region 9 accolades.
 
Five MWC players earned Second Team honors: Grinnell College junior first baseman Connor Gadsen, Lawrence University senior second baseman Taylor Freeman, Beloit College junior outfielder Jack Alport, Illinois College senior outfielder Louie Bartletti, and Monmouth College fifth-year designated hitter Raul Guillermo.
 
Grinnell College seniors Ethan Crawford (catcher) and Mac McCain (second baseman) join Beloit College sophomore outfielder Seth Brankey and Lawrence University senior pitcher Elden Santana on the Third Team.
 
The teams are selected by members of the ABCA, with the process led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
