OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played January 19-25, 2026, on Monday.
MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.
For the winter season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (basketball) and Tuesday (swimming and diving, indoor track and field) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.
The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:
Men’s Basketball Performer of the Week
Cameron Thomas, Monmouth College
Thomas had a huge game on Wednesday to lead Monmouth to a 97-96, overtime road win at Lake Forest. He hit a career high six 3-pointers (on seven attempts) and finished with 30 points. Overall, Thomas was 9-for-12 from the floor while adding six free throws and a rebound in the win.
Women’s Basketball Performer of the Week
Erin Knowles, Cornell College
Knowles averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and shot 59.4 percent from the field as the Rams extended their MWC winning streak to four games. The sophomore netted 25 points at Beloit for her eighth 20-point performance of the season. Knowles nearly recorded a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds in a key home win over Illinois College.
