HILBERT, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played October 12-18, 2026, on Monday.

MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.

For the fall season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (football, soccer) and Tuesday (cross country, women’s tennis, volleyball) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.

The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:

Football Offensive Performer of the Week
Ethan Springer, Lake Forest College
Springer completed 80 percent (24/30) of his passes for 408 yards and four touchdowns in the first three quarters of Lake Forest's 57-3 victory over Luther on Saturday. The junior signal-caller posted the third-highest passing yardage total in team history while his completion percentage ranks eighth. Springer has thrown for at least four touchdowns in every game this season and leads the nation with 30 on the year. He also ranks second in the country in passing yards (2,213) and efficiency (233.8) and fourth in total offense (357.3 yds/g).

Football Defensive Performer of the Week
Joshua Martin, Cornell College
Martin recorded a career-high 14 tackles and returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown in Cornell's 26-24 win over Knox. The senior safety’s six interceptions this season rank second among NCAA Division III players, while his 12 career interceptions include three returned for touchdowns. Martin also tallied 2.5 tackles for loss in the game.

Football Special Teams Performer of the Week
Mitchell Frahm, Cornell College
Frahm set a school record with four made field goals, which all proved crucial in Cornell's 26-24 home win over Knox. The senior kicker was perfect on all four of his field goal attempts – connecting from 24, 38, 33 and 31 yards – while also converting 2-of-2 on PAT kicks. Frahm climbed to fifth place on Cornell's career list for points by a kicker with 129.

Men’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week
Seth Schroeder, Ripon College
Schroeder had a busy offensive week for the Red Hawks. He tallied three assists and a goal against Maranatha Baptist before adding in another goal against Monmouth as Ripon went 2-0 on the week. Schroeder currently stands tied for first in the MWC for assists this season (8).

Men’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week
Thomas Geocaris, Ripon College
Geocaris helped anchor a Ripon defense which conceded zero goals last week, helping the Red Hawks to a 2-0 record. Ripon's defense gave up no shot attempts against Maranatha Baptist – while Geocaris also found the back of the net for one of Ripon's seven goals – before the Red Hawks went on to complete their fourth shutout of the season against Monmouth.

Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week
Katy Adler, Illinois College
Adler scored five goals in two matches last week, helping IC record its first two MWC wins of the season. In the 2-0 victory over Monmouth on Tuesday, she scored both IC goals on five shots. In the 6-0 win over Cornell on Saturday, Adler scored three times (IC’s first three goals of the match) and took 13 shots (both the goals and shot total were one shy of a school record).

Women’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week
Karley Call, Illinois College
Call anchored a defense that helped IC win its first two MWC contests of the season via two shutouts. The Lady Blues only allowed six total shots across the week - four by Monmouth and two by Cornell.
