GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women’s swim and dive program won the 2026 Midwest Conference women’s swim and dive championship on Sunday night, totaling 1067 points across the four-day MWC Women’s Swim and Dive Championships for its fifth-straight league crown. The Pioneers have now claimed a league-best 29 titles.
On Sunday, the Pioneers won the 1650 freestyle thanks to Nina Lyons’ 17:59.79 winning time. Grinnell’s Alex Kruse won the MWC Women’s Diver of the Year award after first place finishes in both diving competitions this weekend.
St. Norbert College came in second place with 789 points. Alisha Draeger picked up a first place performance for the Green Knights on Sunday, winning the 100 freestyle in 53.21. Additionally, Ally Boyer claimed the 200 breaststroke title in 2:25.45. Ashley Mako was named the league’s Newcomer of the Year after a pair of second-place finishes in diving.
Lake Forest College earned 628 points over the competition to take third place as a team. The Foresters had three event titles on Sunday: the 200 backstroke (Audrey Kilmer, 2:05.49), 200 butterfly (Isabella Rozenbergas, 2:03.13 – meet and conference record, NCAA “B” cut) and the 400 free relay (Kilmer, Rozenbergas, Valeria Welk, Joss Hoffman, 3:32.85). After seven All-MWC performances and six event titles, Rozenbergas was named the MWC Swimmer of the Year.
Milwaukee School of Engineering finished in fourth with 356 points.
The standings rounded out with Monmouth College (348 points), Illinois College (324 points), Lawrence University (289 points), Beloit College (246 points) and Ripon College (148 points).
Ripon’s Kennedy Moore received the MWC Elite 20 award, presented to the student-athlete at the championship meet with the highest cumulative grade-point average.
