INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Competing at the NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships for the first time, Grinnell College’s Evan Ingraham wrapped up his first trip to nationals on Saturday at the IU Natatorium.

Just a freshman, Ingraham qualified for nationals in three events over the course of the four-day event: the 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly and 200 backstroke.

His best showing came in the 200 butterfly, where his 1:48.41 showing in Friday’s prelims earned him a 19th place finish – just six-hundredths of a second away from being a consolation final alternate and 27-hundredths away from earning second team All-American status.

Ingraham took 32nd in the 200 backstroke (1:50.96) on Saturday and 38th in the 100 butterfly (49.72) on Thursday.
