OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – With the postseason just three days away, three Midwest Conference women’s tennis programs sit in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Women’s Computerized Team Rankings, announced by the organization on Wednesday.
With a record of 14-6, Grinnell College is ranked 30th in the final rankings of April. The Pioneers have played eight ranked opponents this spring – coming away with three wins – and enter the postseason winners of five of their last seven contests.
Cornell College (24-3) is undefeated this spring and on a 14-match winning streak. Ranked 54th, the Rams have not lost since October 12 – at Grinnell. Four of Cornell’s last seven wins have been shutouts.
Lake Forest College (15-4) checks in at #67 in the ITA rankings. The Foresters won six of eight spring dual matches and have nine shutouts to their name in the 2025-26 dual season.
All three teams look to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament this weekend at the Midwest Conference Women’s Tennis Team Tournament. Grinnell plays Illinois College in the semifinals on Saturday (May 2) at noon, while Lake Forest follows against Cornell at 3pm. The tournament final will be played one hour after the conclusion of the second semifinal. All games will be played at the Powless Tennis Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
