LA CROSSE, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference was represented in five different events at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The three-day event took place May 21-23.
Monmouth College was the only MWC school with multiple entries, as Kayla Braun competed in the shot put and Jillian Toth participated in the hammer. Cornell College (Ava Claussen-Tubbs/800), Illinois College (Riley Gardner/high jump) and Ripon College (Joley Berger/10000) each had one athlete compete.
Gardner and Braun each earned first team All-American honors for placing in the top eight of their respective field events. Braun took third in the shot put on Friday afternoon (14.15m) while Gardner took fourth in the high jump on Friday afternoon (1.70m).
Toth narrowly missed qualifying for the finals in the hammer on Saturday afternoon but settled for a second team All-American performance with a 52.89m throw. Claussen-Tubbs was also a second team All-American after finishing in the 9-16 range. She wrapped up her career in the 800 prelims on Friday afternoon with a showing of 2:10.44 to take 11th.
Berger took 19th in the 10K on Thursday night in 36:27.12.
