Griffin Lentsch - Forward - Grinnell College
Sophomore - Lake Forest, Minn.
Lentsch opened the 2010-11 campaign in stellar fashion, scoring a game-high 36 points with the aid of 10-of-21 3-point shooting in the Pioneers’ 120-90 victory over Lindenwood University-Belleville

November 29
Aris Wurtz - Forward - Ripon College
Junior - Waupun, Wis.
Wurtz scored 16 of his game-high 27 points in the first half during Saturday’s 99-66 win over Marian University. He finished the game shooting 10-for-13, which included a 3-for-3 performance from 3-point range, while also making all four of his free throws. Wurtz, who made all four of his second-half shots, totaled seven rebounds and three assists in the game to help improve the Red Hawk’s record to 2-1.

December 6
Taylor Koth - Guard/Forward - Ripon College
Sophomore - Cedarburg, Wis.
Koth recorded the fourth and fifth double-doubles of his career in Ripon’s two games last week. In a 33-point victory over Knox College, Koth posted a career-high 25 points and 14 rebounds (six offensive). He followed that up with a 21-point, 10-rebound effort in a 12-point victory over Grinnell. For the week, Koth averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds and three assists, while shooting 87 percent (13-15) from the field. He also converted 87 percent (20-23) of his shots from the free throw line.

December 13
David Bremner - Forward - Beloit College
Junior - Boulder, Colo.
Bremner led Beloit’s 62-50 upset of sixth-ranked St. Norbert College on Wednesday with 21 points. He also had a team-high six rebounds and two steals. Bremner was 7-11 from the field, 2-3 from three-point and 5-8 from the free throw line. For the season he’s averaging 17.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting 50.7% from the field (34-67) and 40% from three-point.

January 3
Erik Borresen - Center - Lawrence University
Senior - West Bend, Wis.
Borresen averaged 21 points and shot 67.9 percent from the floor in two games at the Cruzin’ Classic in Florida. In Lawrence’s 89-80 loss to No. 14 St. Mary’s (Md.), The 6-foot-7 center scored a career-high 30 points and hit 13 of 19 shots from the floor, including 3 of 3 from 3-point range. He added five rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals. In a 61-59 loss to Manchester, Borresen scored 12 points on 6 of 9 shooting from the field. He added nine rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal. For the two games, Borresen was 19 of 28 from the field and averaged seven rebounds, 2.5 assists, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 steals.

January 10
Isaac Grapperhaus - Center - Illinois College
Sophomore - Patoka, Ill.
Grapperhaus led Illinois College in scoring a pair of conference wins over Ripon and Lake Forest over the past week. Grapperhaus scored 16 points in a 76-64 win over Ripon on Wednesday, then tallied a team-high 22 off the bench in a 70-67 win over Lake Forest on Saturday. Grapperhaus was 17-for-24 from the field (70.8 percent) during the two-game stretch, including a 4-for-7 mark from behind the 3-point arc (57.1 percent). He also had seven rebounds in each contest. The performances helped Grapperhaus increase his season averages to 9.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.

January 17
Jacob Tucker - Guard - Illinois College
Senior - Carlyle, Ill.
Tucker scored a team-high 31 points Saturday in a 97-94 win over Ripon College to become the 26th player in Illinois College history to reach 1,000 points in a career. The 5-foot-11 guard er scored 17 points and dished out three assists in an 87-73 loss to St. Norbert on Friday, but helped the Blueboys bounce back on Saturday thanks to his 31 points and game-high 11 rebounds. Tucker averaged 25.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in a 2-1 week that also included a 104-92 win over Grinnell. He shot 76% (28-of-37) from the field and hit 13-of-19 from behind the arc.

January 24
Tanner Carlson - Guard - Knox College
Junior - Annawan, Ill.
Carlson had a triple-double -- 11 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in the Prairie Fire’s 89-86 double OT loss Friday night at Lawrence University. He came back the following day at Beloit with 28 points and five assists -- including a 16-of-18 performance at the foul line. Carlson is averaging 11.4 points (third on the team) and a team-leading 4.7 assists per game this season for Knox.

January 31
Jon Mays - Guard - Lawrence University
Senior - Bloomington, Minn.
Mays set a career scoring high in a 85-65 win over Carroll this past Saturday. Mays poured in 38 points and hit 12 of 16 shots from the floor, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range. He also grabbed eight rebounds and had one steal and one assist. The 38 points topped Mays’ previous career best of 27 points, which he set against Monmouth on Jan. 15. It also is the most points scored by a Lawrence player against an opponent other than Grinnell since Pete Hachmeister had 45 against Silver Lake in 1975. Mays also scored a team-high 14 points in Lawrence’s 73-52 loss to St. Norbert earlier in the week. For the week, Mays averaged 26 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 69.2 percent (18-26) from the floor, including 58.3 percent (7-12) from 3-point range.

February 7
Travis Clark - Forward - Lake Forest College
Junior - Evanston,Ill.
Clark recorded a pair of double-doubles and reached a career milestone as Lake Forest split a pair of home games over the weekend. He finished Friday’s 49-45 loss to Lawrence with 11 points and 10 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. On Saturday he helped lead the Foresters to a 78-66 victory over Carroll by scoring a team-high 22 points and by matching a career-high with 14 rebounds. He shot 10-for-13 from the field in the contest and became the 19th player in team history to surpass 1,000 career points. He is just the seventh to accomplish the feat as a junior. He averaged 16.5 points, 12 rebounds, 2.5 assists, two blocks and a steal per game on the weekend.

February 14
Tyler Crisman - Guard - Lawrence University
Junior - Frankfort, Ill.
Crisman poured in a career-high 30 points on Saturday to lead Lawrence to a key road victory at Beloit. Crisman went 10-for-17 from the floor and 7-for-8 from the foul line on his way to 30 points. That topped his previous career best, which was 29 points at Ripon on Feb. 1. Crisman also added three rebounds and three assists. The victory moved Lawrence into a four-way tie for second place with two games remaining in the conference season.

February 21
Scott Gillespie - Guard - Ripon College
Senior - Ripon, Wis.
Gillespie helped Ripon secure their second consecutive MWC Tournament berth, winning both games they played last week. In a three-point victory at Lawrence, Gillespie scored 20 points and recorded seven rebounds and eight assists, while playing all 40 minutes. He followed that up with an 18-point, three-rebound, 10-assist performance, giving him his 16th career double-double and sixth this season. That also helped Gillespie break Ripon’s single-season assist record for the second consecutive year, giving him 179 this season. For the week, Gillespie averaged 19 points, five rebounds and nine assists, while shooting 73 percent (16-22) from the free throw line. He also played 76 of a possible 80 minutes during the week.
