Juliann Papesch - Illinois College
Senior - Lincoln, Ill.
Papesch eanred a sixth place finish at the Illinois College Tournament over the weekend, shooting a 161 (+17) in the 11 team tournament. Papesch and the Lady Blues squared off against several national qualifying teams such as William Woods, Washington University and Illinois Wesleyan. Illinois College finished ninth in the tournament with a team score of 768 with Papesch shooting an 83 on day one then a 78 on day two.
September 14
Mallory Messin - Grinnell College
Sophomore - Stacy, Minn.
Messin propelled the Grinnell College women’s golf team to a record-breaking performance with two top five finishes. She tied for fourth with an 82 to lead the Pioneers to a score of 336 at the Knox College Invitational, shattering Grinnell’s school record for a team score by 13 strokes. The next day at the Monmouth College Fighting Scots Invitational, Messin tied for third with a 77, the fifth-best score in school history. That also helped the Pioneers shoot another 336 as they finished second in the tourney, one shot behind champion North Central College.
September 21
Angelina Parrinello - Carroll University
Sophomore - Madison, Wis.
Parrinello finished in a tie for 21st to lead the Carroll University women’s golf team to an 11th place finish in the 20-team Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational. The Pioneers shot an all-time best two day score of 681 (337-344). Parrinello’s second day 81 and her two-day score of 165 (84 in round one) also set new school records.

Angelina Parrinello - Carroll University
Sophomore - Madison, Wis.
Parrinello set a new Carroll University women’s golf record in the 36 hole Viterbo University Invitational over the weekend. Parrinello’s rounds of 83-81 (164) better the 165 she carded last week at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational. Parrinello finished the Viterbo event in the third place among the 39 competitors. On Friday Parrinello shot a 90 to finish in a tie for 14th place at the UW-Whitewater Invitational.
