Jandron locked up both wins on the mound in a doubleheader sweep of UW-Oshkosh Saturday, the first ever by a MWC school over the Titans. Jandron, who hit a walk-off home run to win game one 6-5, got the last out in the ninth. He then worked in the ninth and allowed just three hits with 10 strikeouts and four walks in a 9-2 win in the nightcap. Jandron is 4-0 on the season.

Kostreva had a big 4-game series against Carroll, hitting .647 and going 11-for-17 with 3 home runs, 3 doubles and 10 runs batted in. He compiled a 1.353 slugging percentage and .714 on-base percentage.

Junior - Beaver Dam, Wis.
Roeder helped Ripon get off to a great start to the conference season, defeating Beloit 4-0 in the conference opener. In that win, Roeder pitched a complete game three-hitter, allowing no runs, striking out two and walking just one Buccaneer batter.

Tony Jandron - Infielder - St. Norbert
Senior - Negaunee, Mich.
Jandron led St. Norbert to a 4-1 week thanks to hitting a lusty .684 in the five games. Jandron, who has hit safely in all 20 games this season, was 13-for-19 during the week with seven runs scored, three doubles, one triple, two home runs and 11 RBIs. Jandron also walked once and was hit three times for an on-base percentage of .739. His OPS for the week was a staggering 2.002.

Stoppenbach picked up two wins for St. Norbert last week. In a 12-7 win over Concordia on Tuesday, Stoppenbach allowed seven hits, one earned run, two walks and four strikeouts in six innings. On Sunday, Stoppenbach threw a complete-game 5-1 win over Ripon, allowing seven hits with five walks and seven strikeouts. For the week, Stoppenbach was 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA, and allowed 14 hits with seven walks and 11 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched.

Robbie Hinkle - Infielder - Monmouth
Junior - Galesburg, Ill
Hinkle used his bat and his arm to help propel the Fighting Scots to an 8-1, 12-2 sweep of Knox to stay alive in the bid for a conference tournament berth. Hinkle drove in four of the Scots’ first five runs with a pair of doubles in his first two at-bats in Game 1 Saturday, and finished the game with three doubles on 4-of-5 hitting. The junior then took to the mound in Game 2 and fanned nine, walked two and gave up five hits in the game shortened by the mercy rule. Hinkle also helped himself at the plate where he went 3-for-4 with another double, a homer and four more RBIs. For the week, Hinkle hit .667 with nine RBIs and a slugging percentage of 1.250.

Pope fired a complete-game four-hitter in a 4-0 victory over Illinois College Saturday, guaranteeing the Pioneers at least a tie of the Midwest Conference South Division. He fanned four batters as Grinnell moved to 8-0 in league play and 17-11 overall.

Nick Whitty - Catcher - Ripon
Senior - Eden, WI
In his first games back in the Ripon lineup after missing the last 15 contests due to injury, Whitty didn’t miss a beat, batting .600 (6-10) with 12 RBI in a four-game sweep of Lawrence University. Those six hits included three home runs and one double. He also scored four runs and walked twice. In the first game of the series, Whitty went 3-for-3 with 6 RBI in a 14-1 victory.

In his only start last week, Wierschke fired a complete game shutout in an 11-0 victory over Lawrence University. In that game, Wierschke scattered five hits, while striking out four Viking batters to improve his season record to 4-2.
