White has the Green Knights off to a 2-1 start this season, including a 61-47 triumph over perennial power UW-Eau Claire last Tuesday. In three games, White is averaging 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. The 6-0 junior center is shooting 51.4 percent from the floor and 82.6 percent (19-for-23) from the free-throw line. White tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds against Eau Claire, 19 points in a 64-42 win over Ohio Wesleyan and 18 points in a 77-66 loss to Chicago.
December 5
Claire Getzoff - Guard - Lawrence University

Getzoff became the Lawrence’s career scoring leader while guiding the Vikings to a 3-0 mark last week. Getzoff now has 1,253 points in her career, breaking the mark of 1,225 set by Sarah O’Neil. In the three games last week, she averaged
24.7 points while shooting 52.8 percent (28-53) from the floor, including 55 percent (11-20) from three-point range. The junior guard also averaged 5.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.0 steals in the three wins. She started her week by pouring in a career-high 30 points in an overtime victory over Marian (82-74 OT). Getzoff, the MWC’s scoring leader at 21.8 points per game, tied her career mark in Lawrence’s next contest, as she netted 30 in a 67-65 win over Illinois College. Getzoff finished her week with 14 points, five assists, four rebounds and four steals in a 62-53 win at Knox.
December 12
Courtney Allen - Forward - Illinois College
Senior - Sherman, Ill./Williamsville
Allen led the Lady Blues to a 2-0 record last week that included an upset over No. 1 Millikin. The victory ended the defending National Champions 20-game win streak and is the first win in the conference’s history (men’s or women’s)
over a top ranked team in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll. Allen, who was 4-4 from the free throw line in the upset, posted team-highs in points (17) and rebounds (9) against Millikin. The senior forward knocked down a pair of free throws with 25 seconds remaining to give IC a 56-53 lead, the eventual final. Allen started her weekend with 13 points and five
rebounds, including 7-8 shooting at the free throw line, in a 76-62 win over Fontbonne on Friday. Allen leads the Lady Blues in scoring (15.8 ppg), rebounding (7.5 rpg), and blocked shots (12) this season.
January 3
Bianca White - Center - St. Norbert College

White was at the top of her game over break, averaging 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as the Green Knights finished 1-3 against a tough stretch of schedule. All four of the Green Knights opponents were at least receiving votes in the national polls, as SNC fell to UW-Whitewater (70-64 OT), No. 15/18 Millikin (48-45) and No. 9/6 Messiah (62-58). White helped snap the Green Knights threegame losing streak with 20 points and 13 boards in a 69-58 triumph over UW-Stout, who was ranked 25th in the country by the WBCA. The junior center rounded out her week with 25 points against Messiah, 17 against Whitewater and eight points and 10 rebounds versus Millikin.
January 10
Karalyn Dehn - Forward - Ripon College
Senior - Beaver Dam, Wis./Beaver Dam
Dehn registered the first 20-20 performance in the MWC this season, tallying 22 points and 20 rebounds in the Red Hawks 65-61 victory over previously unbeaten Lawrence on Saturday. Dehn broke the 1,000-point plateau for her career in the contest and is now seventh in scoring all-time at Ripon with 1,003 points. The 6-2 senior forward scored 14 of her
22 points in the final 10 minutes of the contest, while her 20 rebounds was the sixth best effort in school history for rebounds in a game. She also moved into ninth-place on Ripon’s career rebounding list with 474 boards. Dehn’s sixth double-double of the season is the second-best mark in the MWC this year.
January 16
Crystal Hoewisch - Guard - Carroll College
Sophomore - Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville
Hoewisch led the Lady Pioneers to a pair of MWC victories over the weekend as Carroll improved to 5-0 in league play and moved atop the conference standings. Hoewisch led Carroll in scoring in victories over Illinois College (56-48) and Monmouth (64-50). The sophomore guard posted 13 points, two rebounds and one assist against the Lady Blues, before tallying 22 points, four rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals against the Fighting Scots. Hoewisch currently ranks fourth in the conference in scoring (15.9 ppg) and fifth in three-point percentage (.419%).
January 23
Nicole Baich - Center - Lake Forest College
Sophomore - Westchester, Ill./Nazareth Academy
Baich came up with a pair of big performances to help keep the Foresters in the thick of the MWC race last week. The sophomore center recorded the first two double-doubles of her career in a pair of Lake Forest wins. Baich recorded 16 points and 13 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass, in a 70-44 victory at Illinois College on Tuesday. The Foresters returned to the road Saturday, where the 6-1 Baich posted 11 points and 10 rebounds in a 73-65 triumph over Grinnell. Baich, who also tallied seven steals and two assists last week, is averaging 8.2 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game in conference play this season.
January 30
Ashley Yeast - Center - Monmouth College
Sophomore - Sciota, Ill./West Prairie
Yeast continued to dominate the boards as the Fighting Scots posted a pair of conference wins last week, including a 66-63 upset of firstplace Lawrence and a near triumph over MWC contender St. Norbert. Yeast averaged a doubledouble
for the week (13 ppg, 14.6 rpg), opening with a 13-point, 15-rebound effort during a 58-54 victory against Illinois College on Tuesday. The 6-1 sophomore center added 17 points and 14 boards in Friday’s win over Lawrence, before tallying nine points and 15 rebounds in a 54-52 loss to St. Norbert on Saturday. Yeast, who added six steals, three blocks and two assists in the three contests, currently leads the MWC in rebounding (11.8 rpg) and double-doubles (11).
February 6
Kim Wickert - Forward - Carroll College
Sophomore - Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran
Wickert averaged 13.6 points and 9.6 rebounds per game last week, leading the Carroll women’s basketball team to a 3-0 record and locking up the Lady Pioneers first MWC tourney berth since the 2001-02 season. Wickert started her week
with a game-high 17 points and eight rebounds in a 56-52 come-from-behind victory over MWC contender St. Norbert. The sophomore forward tallied 12 points and 13 rebounds in a 68-56 win over Lake Forest, before closing the week with 12 points and eight boards during a 66-52 victory against Knox. Wickert shot an efficient 18-32 from the field and also added 10 assists, three blocks and three steals in the three contests.
February 13
Courtney Scherrer - Guard - Monmouth College
Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah
Scherrer started her week by making individual history and closed it by helping her team to a historic win, as Monmouth finished 2-0 last week. Scherrer tallied eight assists during Monmouth’s 62-50 win over Knox on Wednesday, passing
Vanessa Treat (1992-96) as the school’s career assist leader with her 332nd career helper. The senior point guard went on to post nine points, three assists and two steals in Saturday’ s 65-63 Senior Night victory over Lake Forest, marking Monmouth’s first win over the Foresters since 1984. With one game remaining, Scherrer needs two assists to break Treat’s single-season assist record. Overall, she totaled 15 points, six rebounds, 11 assists and two steals last week, while going 11-11 from the free throw line in 75 minutes of action.
February 20
Christine Brown - Guard - Beloit College
Freshman - Ruidoso, N.M./Ruidoso
Beloit dropped its final two games of the 2005-06 season last week, but Brown managed to pick up her seventh and eighth double-doubles of the year against a pair of MWC tournament qualifiers in Ripon and Carroll. Brown started
her week with 14 points and 10 rebounds against the Red Hawks on Wednesday, before tallying 21 points and 10 boards at Carroll on Saturday. For the week, the 5-9 freshman guard hit 11-14 shots from the floor and went 13-18 from the free throw line. Brown also added five assists, five steals and a block in the two contests.
