Lizzy Bauer - Guard - Lake Forest College

Bauer filled up the stat sheet while helping lead Lake Forest to a 4-0 start and a pair of tournament championships. The senior guard averaged 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals as the Foresters defeated Concordia (IL) and UW-Oshkosh in the Forester Tip-Off Tournament November 17-18. She was then named the MVP of the McWilliams Classic in St. Louis, Mo., last weekend after leading Lake Forest to victories over No. 12 Washington and No. 17 Williams. Bauer scored 16 points and shot 4-for-6 from three-point range in the semifinals before registering 18 points in the tourney finals. After four games she is averaging 14.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Crystal Hoewisch - Guard - Carroll College
Junior - Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville
Hoewisch averaged 28.7 points per game in three Lady Pioneer victories last week, including a 2-0 start in conference play. The D3hoops.com Preseason All-American opened the week by scoring 26 of Carroll’s 40 points in a 40-26 non-conference victory at Lakeland. The 5-8 junior guard followed that performance by netting a careerhigh 37 points in a 66-51 win over Grinnell, before closing the week with a team-high 23 points in a 65-61 triumph against Monmouth. For the week, Hoewisch made 30-of-50 field goal attempts while going 24-of-30 from the free throw line. She also added seven rebounds, 11 assists and three steals.

Hannah Wolf - Guard - Grinnell College
Junior - Omaha, Neb./Millard West
Wolf led the Pioneers to a pair of wins last week, including the team’s first conference victory of the season. The 5-8 junior guard started her week by scoring 24 points, handing out nine assists, grabbing five rebounds and making four steals as
Grinnell outlasted Monmouth 77-74 in overtime on Wednesday. Wolf, the MWC’s leading scorer at 23 points per game, recorded a game-high 28 points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals in Saturday’s 79-65 non-conference win over Ashford. Wolf has made a league-best 30 three-pointers this season and ranks among the league’s top ten in assists (28), steals (17), free throw percentage (.815) and threepoint percentage (.333).

Morgan Strasser - Guard - St. Norbert College
Sophomore - Oshkosh, Wis./West
Strasser poured in a career-high 25 points in the Green Knights’ 67-60 road victory over UWOshkosh on Saturday. The 5-9 sophomore guard made 8 of 13 field goals and canned both of her 3-point attempts in the contest. She was also 7-
for-8 at the free-throw line, pulled down a teamhigh seven rebounds, handed out two assists, made one steal and blocked a shot. For the season Strasser is shooting 54.1 percent from the floor and 56.3 percent from beyond the arc, which ranks third and first, respectively, in the conference.
January 2
Christine Brown - Guard - Beloit College
Sophomore - Ruidoso, New Mexico
Brown helped the Bucs end a three-game losing streak in their lone contest last week, as Beloit topped Lakeland 64-39 at home on Saturday. The 5-9 sophomore guard was only on the court for 22 minutes, but still managed to score a gamehigh 19 points, grab eight rebounds, hand out one assist and make one steal. Brown, who was 7-11 shooting from the field in the game, currently ranks in the top 10 in the conference in scoring (12.1 ppg) and rebounding (7.0 rpg).
January 8
Laura Jahn - Forward - Monmouth College
Senior - Palos Park, Ill./Stagg
Jahn posted a pair of double-doubles during a 2-0 week for the Fighting Scots that included the team’s first MWC victory of the season. Facing Illinois College at home on Saturday, Jahn finished off an 18-point, 16-rebound effort with two game-clinching free throws with eight seconds to play. The free throws allowed the Scots to shrug off a three-pointer by IC just before the buzzer that made the final score 71-70. Three days earlier, the senior forward netted 11 points and 12 rebounds as Monmouth defeated Eureka 70-52. For the week, Jahn averaged 13.5 points and 14.0 rebounds and shot 11-of-12 from the foul line. She added three assists, three blocks and a pair of steals.
January 15
Katie McCool - Forward - Beloit College
Junior - Warren, Ill.
McCool recorded double-doubles in all three Beloit contests last week, helping the Bucs win back-to-back MWC road games for the first time since the 1997-98 season. McCool scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 61-55 loss to Lawrence on Tuesday and added 13 points and 10 boards in a 70-67 win at Monmouth on Friday. The 6-3 junior center closed her week with 16 points and 12 rebounds against Grinnell, lifting the Bucs to a 57-56 win by hitting a free throw with one second remaining. McCool shot 52.9 percent (18-34) from the field for the week and also added five blocks and five steals. She currently ranks in the top 20 in the conference in scoring (9.8 ppg), rebounding (6.8 rpg), field-goal percentage (.474) and blocks (14).
January 22
Nicole Baich - Center - Lake Forest College
Junior - Westchester, Ill./Nazareth Academy
Baich helped lead Lake Forest to a pair of MWC road victories over the weekend and a share of first place in the MWC standings. Baich recorded her fourth double-double of the season with teamhigh totals of 16 points and 10 rebounds in a
72-63 triumph at Carroll on Friday. The Forester victory was not only Carroll’s first league loss of the season, but it also ended the Lady Pioneers nine-game winning streak. The following afternoon, the 6-0 junior center scored seven points on 3-for-5 shooting from the floor and added seven rebounds, three steals and a pair of blocked shots during an 87-77 double-overtime win at Ripon. The Foresters have now won seven in a row, while Baich currently ranks in the top 15 in the conference in scoring (11.1 ppg), rebounding (7.7 rpg), field-goal percentage (.533) and blocks (12).
January 29
Crystal Hoewisch - Guard - Carroll College

Hoewisch continues to pace the Lady Pioneers, as Carroll has now won 12 of 13 games after picking up MWC victories over Ripon (64-51) and Lawrence (75-63) last week. The 5-8 junior guard scored 18 points, pulled down eight rebounds and handed out four assists on the road against the Red Hawks on Tuesday. She went on to post a game-high 24 points with five rebounds and a pair of assists in the home victory over the Vikings on Saturday. Hoewisch is currently second in the MWC in scoring (21.7 ppg) and ranks among the conference’s best in field-goal percentage (4th, .530), assists (3rd, 62), free-throw percentage (1st, .846), steals (14th, 29) and three-point percentage (4th, .373).
February 5
Kim Wickert - Center - Carroll College
Junior - Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran
Wickert filled up the stat sheet last week as Carroll ran its winning streak to six games with conference wins over Beloit (66-46), Grinnell (75-55) and Monmouth (80-77). The 6-1 junior center opened the week with 14 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and three assists in Tuesday’s win over the Bucs. Wickert saved her best for last, following a 22-point, nine-rebound performance against Grinnell on Friday by scoring eight of her game-high 26 points in overtime as the Lady Pioneers edged Monmouth on Saturday. Wickert, who shot 29-of-44 from the field in the three games, added seven rebounds, six blocks and four steals against Monmouth. She currently ranks among the MWC’s best in scoring (8th, 12.6 ppg), rebounding (4th, 7.2 rpg), field-goal percentage (2nd, .537), blocks (1st, 56) and steals (14th, 35).
February 12
Ashley Yeast - Center - Monmouth College
Junior - Sciota, Ill./West Prairie
Yeast entered the week as the leading rebounder in NCAA Division III and likely sewed up the national rebounding title in a pair of Monmouth victories. The 6-1 junior center posted doubledoubles in Fighting Scots victories over Knox (71-55) and Illinois College (74-59). She tallied 13 points and 21 rebounds against the Prairie Fire, before scoring 19 points and grabbing 18 boards vs. the Lady Blues. Yeast set the single-game school record for rebounds against Knox and also eclipsed the school’s singleseason rebounding mark (275), which she set a year ago, in the contest. Aside from leading the MWC in rebounding, Yeast also ranks among the league’s best in scoring (9th, 12.4 ppg), fieldgoal percentage (10th, .502) and steals (4th, 49).
February 21
Hannah Wolf - Guard - Grinnell College
Junior - Omaha, Neb./Millard West
The Midwest Conference’s leading scorer (22.3 ppg) combined to tally 56 points while leading the Pioneers to victories in their final two contests of the season. The 5-8 junior guard buried 11-of-17 shots from the field, including 7-of 13 from long range, on the way to scoring 33 points in the Pioneers 74-62 win over Knox on Wednesday. On Saturday, she closed her season with 23 points on 8-for-15 shooting in a 74-62 decision over Illinois College. Wolf, who also ranks among the league’s top 10 in assists (70) and steals (43), added seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in the victories.
