Robert Seer - Wide Receiver - Grinnell College
Senior - Saukville, Wis.
Seer caught seven passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns as Grinnell won its season opener, 31-6 over Macalester College. Among his TDs were a 5-yard catch from Trent Baker early in the fourth period and a 78-yard completion from Mike McCabe later in the period.

Luke Barthelmess - Quarterback - Lawrence University
Sophomore - Dow, Ill.
Barthelmess broke a Midwest Conference record and two Lawrence records in Lawrence’s 62-42 win at Knox on Saturday. Barthelmess completed 28 of 39 passes for a Lawrence and MWC record 549 yards. Barthelmess broke the MWC passing yards record of 532, set by Knox’s Bob Monroe in 1986, and the Lawrence record of 466, set by Bill McNamara in 1986. Barthelmess’ six touchdown passes also broke the Lawrence record of five, set by Eric Aspenson in 2007. Barthelmess also ran 18 times for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Trey Yocum - Running Back - Monmouth College
Sophomore - Bushnell, Ill.
For the second straight week, Yocum churned out a career-high rushing total. The hard-running back ran for 166 yards in three quarters of play in a 56-0 win over Lawrence. Among his 20 rushes were three for touchdowns as he averaged over eight yards per carry and scored in all three quarters in which he played. For the season, Yocum is averaging more than 144 yards and two TDs per game.

Mike McCabe - Quarterback - Grinnell College
Junior - Port Washington, N.Y.
McCabe had one of the top offensive performances in Pioneer history during Saturday’s 49-34 victory over Lake Forest College. He had a hand in all seven Grinnell touchdowns, just one shy of the school record of eight established by Troy Dougherty in 1997. McCabe passed for five scores, third-best in school history, and ran for two more as Grinnell scored the most points in a game since the 2001 season. He finished 26-of-37 through the air for 320 yards and no interceptions.

Colin Duling - Wide Receiver - Illinois College
Junior - Clinton, Ill.
Duling had a career day at Lawrence on Saturday as the junior hauled in eight receptions for 143 yards and three touchdowns in the Blueboys’ 54-44 win over the Vikings. Duling played a key role in IC’s come-from-behind win, catching all three of his touchdowns after halftime. For the season, Duling has 26 receptions for 387 yards and six touchdowns.

Mike Blodgett - Wide Receiver - Monmouth College
Senior - Northfield, Minn.
Blodgett broke two school records and made an assault on three others in the Scots 42-14 win over Ripon. The senior wide receiver hauled in 11 passes for 194 yards and three TDs to average over 17 yards per reception. It was his team-record sixth straight 100-yard receiving day this season. His big day also pushed him to the top of the Scots’ record books with his 32nd career TD, tops for all receivers. His 32 total touchdowns pulled him to within one score of the all-time TD record rushing or receiving. He also moved into seventh place all-time for the Scots in points scored with 194. Blodgett is also nine reception away from tying the career mark of 240 catches.

Alex Tanney - Quarterback - Monmouth College
Senior - Normal, Ill.
Tanney moved into second place in the NCAA record books after Saturday’s performance in a 53-47 come-from-behind win at Lake Forest. The senior signal-caller threw for 405 yards with five touchdowns to give him 142 for his career, just six behind the all-time mark. With 12,711 career passing yards, he is in fifth place in the DIII career standings just 875 yards away from breaking the record. Tanney completed 32 of 37 passes Saturday as he threw for more than 300 yards for the fifth time this season.

Pete Scaffidi - Quarterback - Lake Forest College
Junior - South Elgin, Ill.
Scaffidi completed 17 of 29 passes for 367 yards and five touchdowns in Lake Forest’s 56-38 victory at Lawrence on Saturday. He also reached the end zone on a 1-yard run. Scaffidi’s five passing touchdowns tie the team record he set five weeks ago and give him a 25 on the season, surpassing the previous school record of 20.

Brock Thompson - Wide Receiver - Illinois College
Senior - Chandlerville, Ill.
Thompson had a career day in Illinois College’s 48-16 win over Grinnell on Saturday, hauling in 11 passes for 214 yards and a matching a school record with four touchdown receptions. Thompson’s touchdowns came on plays of 3, 80, 5 and 41 yards, respectively. Thompson’s effort helped Illinois College rack up a season-high 655 yards of total offense. The Blueboys improved to 8-1 overall, matching the school record for football wins in a season.

Mike Blodgett - Wide Receiver - Monmouth College

Blodgett did his part in a record-setting 56-27 win over Knox Saturday. The senior wide receiver grabbed the first Scots’ pass of the day to set the Scots’ consecutive games with a catch record at 43 games. It was the first of 13 catches on the day that included three TDs and a school-record 239 yards, breaking the previous mark which had stood since 1996. Blodgett now holds the team’s three yardage records for single game, season and career. His three scores moved him into second place in the all-time Scots’ scoring list, just three points shy of the record. Blodgett’s big game helped quarterback Alex Tanney set the NCAA Division III record for career passing yards at 13,686 yards.
