Christina Schaupp - Lawrence University
Freshman - Green Bay, Wis.
Schaupp posted a perfect week in singles and doubles as Lawrence went 3-0. In Lawrence’s 5-4 victory over Carthage, Schaupp clinched the match with a 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles. She also teamed with Hannah Geoffrey for an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles. In a 9-0 victory over Monmouth, Schaupp beat Tessa Ginn 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and teamed with Geoffrey for an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles. In a 9-0 victory over Knox, Schaupp beat Charlotte Garvin 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles and picked up an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

Beth Larson - Lawrence University
Senior - Maplewood, Minn.
Larson was perfect on the week in singles and doubles as Lawrence posted a 3-0 record. Larson lost only five games total in three matches at No. 1 singles as Lawrence defeated Dominican (Ill.) 9-0, Edgewood 9-0 and Lake Forest 8-1. Larson teamed with Jenni Roesch at No. 1 doubles and went 3-0, which included an 8-0 win over Dominican (Ill.). Larson is now 6-0 in singles and 5-1 in doubles this season.

Sadhana Athreya - Grinnell College

Athreya was a perfect 6-of-6 over the week, recording victories at No. 1 singles as well as No. 1 doubles against Central College, Lake Forest College and St. Ambrose University. All three matches were 9-0 Pioneer victories as Grinnell improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Midwest Conference South Division. For the season, Athreya is 4-2 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles with Laura Krull.

Alyssa Larson - Carroll University
Junior - Waunakee, Wis.
Larson won all six of her matches last week to help the Carroll University women’s tennis team defeat Beloit College (7-2), Monmouth College (9-0) and Knox College (8-1). Larson was 3-0 in her No. 2 singles flight matches, winning all three in straight sets and only surrendering a combined two games. She also went 3-0 at the No. 2 doubles flight. For the season, Larson is 5-1 in singles play and 5-1 in doubles matches.

Constanza Alarcon - Grinnell College
Junior - Guatemala City, Guatemala
Alarcon played a big part in Grinnell College defeating three Midwest Conference opponents over the weekend. She was a perfect 5-of-5 during that time, including wins in both singles and doubles against St. Norbert College and Carroll University. Alarcon played just doubles against Beloit College and also won. Her singles victory against Carroll was perhaps the most competitive match on the court that day by both players, even though some matches went three sets. For the season, Alarcon is 10-2 with four different doubles opponents and 5-3 in singles play.

Callie Schroeder - St. Norbert College
Senior - Manitowoc, Wis.
Schroeder led St. Norbert to a huge week, which included dual meet wins over Lake Forest, Carroll and Lawrence. Schroeder went 3-0 in No. 3 doubles action and 2-1 in No. 3 singles play to lift the Green Knights to their first MWC North Division title since 2007. Schroeder’s three-set singles win over Kate Rasmussen gave St. Norbert its 5-4 win over Carroll. Her three-set win over Lawrence’s Gayatri Malhotra squared the match at 4-4, with St. Norbert eventually winning 5-4.
