Cecil Brimmage - Runing Back - Illinois College
Junior - Alton, Ill.
Brimmage broke the Illinois College single-game record for rushing yards in a game in a 51-28 season-opening win over Hanover College on Saturday. Brimmage ran for 341 yards on 28 carries and three touchdowns, breaking the old school record of 302 rushing yards in a game, set by Phil Pohlman in 1983. Brimmage’s 341 yards ranks as the third-highest single-game rushing total in Midwest Conference history.

Michael Bates - Quarterback - Illinois College
Sophomore - Auburn, Ill.
Bates threw for a Midwest Conference-record 580 passing yards and an Illinois College-record seven touchdowns as the Blueboys took a 53-20 win at Grinnell College on Saturday. Bates threw touchdowns of 18, 30, 16, 5, 17, 16 and 26 yards, and also led the team with 66 rushing yards. Illinois College improved to 2-0 with the win.

Tyler Ostrander - Receiver - Carroll University
Junior - Mt. Horeb, Wis.
Tyler Ostrander caught nine passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Carroll University football team to a 48-6 victory over Knox College. The win propelled the Pioneers to 3-0 for just the 16th time in the program’s 118-year history. Ostrander scored on a 36 yard reception in the second quarter and a 33 yarder in the third quarter.

Trey Yocum - Running Back - Monmouth College
Junior - Bushnell, Ill.
Yocum’s record-setting performance helped Monmouth College to a 31-28 win over Cornell Saturday. The junior’s two rushing touchdowns moved him past Ron Baker’s rushing TD record set more than 30 years ago at Monmouth. Yocum’s 34 career rushing TDs gives him 36 career scores, moving him within seven of the all-time TD record. Agaisnt the Rams, Yocum churned out 176 yards on 32 carries, averaging more than five yards per carry. For the season, he’s averaging over 120 yards rushing per game.

Juan Flores - Quarterback - Cornell College
Junior - Alta Loma, Calif.
Flores accounted for four touchdowns and 356 yards of total offense in leading the Rams to a 48-8 win at Beloit, marking Cornell’s largest margin of victory in a game since 2003. He was 18-of-28 passing for 284 yards with touchdown tosses of 17 and 28 yards. Flores added 72 rushing yards on just nine carries (8.0 ypc) as the Rams rolled up a season-high 261 yards on the ground.

Cody Weber - Wide Receiver - Grinnell College
Senior - Pullman, Wash.
Weber had an astounding 15 catches and scored two touchdowns as the Pioneers posted a convincing 21-7 victory over Midwest Conference preseason favorite Monmouth College on Saturday. He finished with a game-high 165 receiving yards. His 15 catches were the most by a receiver in the conference this season while he had the third most yardage in a single game.

Juan Flores - Quarterback - Cornell College
Junior - Alta Loma, Calif.
Flores accounted for 450 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in Cornell’s 42-38 comeback win at home over Knox. He finished 26-of-34 passing for 338 yards and three touchdowns. Flores also rushed for 112 yards on 16 carries. He threw touchdown passes on consecutive possessions late in the third quarter to erase a 31-21 deficit.

Trey Yocum - Running Back - Monmouth College
Junior - Bushnell, Ill.
Yocum moved to within one touchdown of the Monmouth College all-time record in the Fighting Scots’ 56-28 win over Lawrence. The junior running back rushed for four TDs to bring his career total to 42, just one shy of Mike Blodgett’s record 43 set last year. Yocum rushed for 176 yards on 29 carries, averaging over six yards per carry. It was his sixth straight game to rush for more than 100 yards, setting a new Scots record for consecutive 100 yard games. With three games remaining, Yocum is less than 100 yards from gaining 1,000 yards for his second consecutive season.

Lamont Williams - Running Back - Carroll University
Sophomore - Philadelphia, Penn.
Lamont Williams rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns to lead Carroll University to a 31-14 Midwest Conference football victory over Cornell College. Williams, a sophomore from Philadelphia, Pa., has put together back-to-back 200-plus yard rushing games to increase his season total to 846 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Kevin Wallace - Wide Receiver - Illinois College
Senior - Baldwin, Mo.
Wallace turned in the best performance of his collegiate career on Saturday, hauling in nine passes for 183 yards and a touchdown in Illinois College’s 50-28 win over visiting Cornell College. Wallace accounted for more than half of the Blueboys’ receiving yardage and his 30-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter gave Illinois College the lead for good.

The victory gives the Pioneers their first 8-win season since 1992. Williams, a sophomore from Philadelphia, Pa., broke Carroll single game records for rush attempts, rushing yards and touchdowns in a game.
