2012 Women's Golf Performers of the Week

September 5, 2012
Alexis Lintker - Illinois College
Freshman - Venedy, Ill.

Lintker turned in scores of 88 and 83 to finish with a two-round total of 171 at the Illinois College Fall Invitational over the weekend. The score earned her a share of seventh place in the individual standings. Illinois College finished ninth in the team standings.

Alex Plemmons - Grinnell College
Sophomore - Grosse Ile, Mich.

Plemmons tied for runner-up honors while leading Grinnell to the team title at the Central College Fall Invitational in Pella Friday and Saturday. It was the Pioneers’ second tournament title in the program’s 18-year history. Plemmons followed Friday’s round of 86 up with an 82 for a 168 in the 42-golfer field. The Pioneers, who trailed the host school by four shots after Friday’s action, rallied to beat the Dutch 691-696.

Nicole Hurst - Monmouth College
Senior - Pekin, Ill.

Senior Nicole Hurst paved the way last weekend for the Fighting Scots to shatter two school records which had stood since 2001. Playing at the 36-hole Benedictine Invitational, Hurst opened with an 85 and lowered her score to an 84 for the second round, posting a 36-hole career-best 169 and tying her for sixth place. Her mark on Day 1 helped the Scots to a school record 339. The team followed with a 349 over the final round to post a 688, shattering the team record for 36 holes by 17 strokes.

Morgan Zuleger - Carroll University
Junior - Oshkosh, Wis.

Morgan Zuleger shot a team-best 83 to lead the Carroll University women’s golf team to a second place finish in the 10-team UW-Whitewater Invitational. The junior from Oshkosh, Wis. finished in a tie for fifth place.
