Katie Vanden Avond - Forward - St. Norbert College
Sophomore - De Pere, Wis.
Vanden Avond picked up right where she left off last season with a 16-point weekend, scoring seven goals and two assists. Vanden Avond, who led Division III with 28 goals last year, scored four goals and two assists in a 10-point game in a 10-2 win over Lakeland Saturday. In a 5-4 win over Edgewood on Sunday, Vanden Avond posted a hat trick including the game-winning goal with 4:30 left in regulation time.

Sarah Skaggs - Midfield - Illinois College
Sophomore - St. Charles, Mo.
Skaggs scored a goal and dished out two assists in Illinois College’s 4-0 win over visiting Blackburn College on Saturday. Skaggs’ two assists gave her seven for the season, which ties the Illinois College record for assists in a season, just five matches into the 2012 campaign.

Keli Muchowski - Forward - Lawrence University
Sophomore - Neenah, Wis.
Muchowski scored three goals and picked up an assist as Lawrence posted a 2-0 record on the week. In a 3-0 victory over Illinois College, Muchowski scored a pair of goals. She scored in the 15th minute to give Lawrence a 2-0 lead and sealed the victory with a goal in the 75th minute. In a 4-1 victory over Knox, Muchowski scored in the 19th minute to put the Vikings up 1-0 and then assisted on Anne Leung’s goal in the 55th minute. On the season, Muchowski has four goals and one assist.

Michelle Greeneway - Forward - Lake Forest College
Freshman - Sheboygan, Wis.
Greeneway recorded her fist career hat trick and added an assist in Lake Forest’s 5-1 victory at Lawrence University on Saturday. She contributed to the Foresters’ fast start to the game by scoring at 2:36 and 14:49 and assisting on a goal at 18:37. She completed the hat trick 50 seconds into the second half and now leads the Foresters with 17 points on six goals and five assists this season.

Lauren Kellen - Forward - Monmouth College
Sophomore - Mendota, Ill.
Sophomore Lauren Kellen had one of the best offensive games in the history of Fighting Scots women’s soccer, netting four goals as Monmouth defeated Cornell 6-1 for its first MWC win of the season. Kellen got behind the defense on a pair of breakaways to finish off a through ball and netting a header to improve her season total to nine goals. The only other Monmouth player to net four goals in a game was Amy Horneck who scored five in 2002 and four in 2005.

Brandi Peltier - Forward - Ripon College
Sophomore - Neosha, Wis.
Peltier had a record-breaking week last week, scoring seven goals in Ripon’s two games. That included a six-goal performance in a 10-0 win over Finlandia, which broke the school record for most goals in a single game. She added one goal in Ripon’s 3-2 loss at Illinois College, giving her 15 goals on the season, which ranks second in the MWC.

Junior - Geneva, Ill.
Tennant scored three goals last week to lead the Carroll University women’s soccer team to victories over Beloit College and St. Norbert College. The junior from Geneva, Ill. scored 2 goals in CU’s 6-0 win over the Buccaneers then netted the game winner in a 1-0 victory over the Green Knights.

Vanden Avond scored six goals during St. Norbert’s 2-0 week in a 3-1 win over Cornell and in a key 4-3 win over Grinnell. Vanden Avond, who had the game-winning penalty kick against Grinnell, scored a hat trick in each game to give her six this season. Vanden Avond has 24 goals on the season, along with seven game-winning goals.

Ashley Reynoso - Forward - Monmouth College
Senior - Burbank, Ill.
Reynoso delivered the two biggest goals of her career on Saturday as Monmouth defeated Grinnell 2-1 to clinch a berth in the Midwest Conference playoffs. Reynoso’s goal in the 57th minute put the Fighting Scots ahead 1-0 in the must-win game, and she then delivered the game-winner 27 seconds after the Pioneers had tied the score with 11:35 to play. On Wednesday, Reynoso added an assist on Monmouth’s first goal in a 3-1 win at Beloit. Reynoso’s performance has helped the Scots to a school-record six game win streak and their second appearance in the MWC Tournament in three years.
