2013 Indoor Track Women's Track Performers of the Week

Felicia Carlson - Beloit College
Sophomore - Beloit, Wis.
In the first meet of the season, Carlson set a Beloit record in the 55m, winning the race in :07.43 at the Carthage College Private Schools Invite in Kenosha. She also won the 200m, just missing another school record with a :26.65 (.25 off the record).

Missy Norville - Illinois College
Senior - Batavia, Ill.
Norville won one track event and set a school record in another Saturday at the Snow Bird Invitational at Illinois College. Norville won the 60-meter hurdles (8.71 seconds) and took second in the 200-meter dash (25.93). Her time in the 200-meter dash set an Illinois College indoor record and her time in the 60-meter hurdles is currently the best in all of Division III. Illinois College women’s indoor team took third place out of 10 teams.

Missy Norville - Illinois College
Senior - Batavia, Ill.
Norville won the 60-meter dash (7.87) and 60-meter hurdles (8.84) Friday at the Principia College Relays in Elsah. Her time in the 60-meter dash set an Illinois College indoor record. She also teamed with Ofuma Eze-Echesi, Lindsay Teeter and Kayla Kolis to win the 4x200-meter relay (1:48.96). Norville currently holds the best Division III marks in the 60-meter hurdles and the long jump this year. She ranks second in the triple jump and 13th in the 60-meter dash.

Michelle Matter - Ripon College
Senior - Sussex, Wis.
Matter broke two of her own school records Saturday, as Ripon’s women’s track & field team finished sixth at the UW-Stevens Point Invite. Matter won the 3K with a time of 10:20.85, which breaks her previous school record in the event by nearly 13 seconds. She also added a second-place finish in the Mile run, breaking her school record by two seconds.

Rachel Bowden - Monmouth College
Senior - Farmer City, Ill.
Bowden ran one Midwest Conference-best time and one Monmouth honor roll time at Saturday’s Fighting Scot Invitational. The senior beat the field in the mile after running a Scots honor roll time of 5:13.71 to win by seven seconds. She also recorded the league’s fastest time in the 800-meters where her 2:19.10 placed her second.

Missy Norville - Illinois College
Senior - Batavia, Ill.
Norville won five events, including three track events, on Friday at the Illinois College Alumni Classic. She was best in the 60-meter hurdles (8.79), 60-meter dash (7.91) and 200-meter dash (25.99). She also topped the field in the long jump (19-7) and triple jump (40-7.75). She leads the nation in the 60-meter hurdles, long jump and triple jump. She leads the Midwest Conference in all five events.
