2013 Indoor Track Women's Field Performers of the Week

Missy Norville - Illinois College
Senior - Batavia, Ill.
Norville picked up right where she left off last season by winning four events as the Knox College Invitational on Saturday. The three-time national champion was best in the long jump (19-4.25) and triple jump (39-8.5). Both of her marks in the long jump and triple jump were also the best in the nation after the first week of competition. She also won the 200-meter dash (26.74) and 60-meter hurdles (8.94).

Senior - Batavia, Ill.
Norville won a pair of field events Saturday at the Snow Bird Invitational held at Illinois College. She won both the long jump (19-8) and triple jump (39-10.5); she currently ranks first in the long jump and second in triple jump in Division III. The Illinois College women’s indoor track and field team took third place out of 10 teams.

Allison Devor - Monmouth College
Senior - St. Charles, Ill.
Allison Devor improved her national rankings to fourth in two events helping Monmouth College to a team win at Saturday’s Rose-Hulman Engineer Invitational. The senior won the weight throw with a conference-best 56’10-3/4”. She also put up the MWC’s best mark in the shot put, winning with a mark of 45’2-1/4”.

Allison Devor - Monmouth College
Senior - St. Charles, Ill.
Devor moved into second in the nation with her weight throw at Saturday’s Keck Invitational. Her throw of 57’4-3/4” was third, finishing only behind a Division I athlete and an unattached competitor. Devor also placed fourth in the shot put where the Division I and unattached competition finish 1-2. Her mark of 45’0-1/2” was less than five inches behind her Division III opponent.

Norville won two field events and helped a relay team to another first-place finish Saturday at the Monmouth College Fighting Scot Indoor Invitational. Norville posted the top marks in the long jump (19-0.75) and triple jump (40-0); she currently ranks first in the nation in both events. She also ran the anchor leg for IC’s winning 4x200-meter relay team (1:46.42). No team scores were kept.

Emily Tysma - Monmouth College
Junior - Hillsdale, Ill.
Tysma jumped her way to the second-best mark in the nation and tied a 20-year old Monmouth at last weekend’s six-team Wartburg Invitational. The junior won the high jump by clearing 5’8” moving to No. 2 nationally.
