Evan Flack - Lawrence University
Senior - Edina, Minn.
Flack won two events and swam on a winning relay team in Lawrence’s opening meet of the season. In a dual meet against Beloit, Flack won the 100-yard freestyle in 51.32 seconds and took first in the 200 freestyle in 1:56.04. Flack also swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team, whcih posted a time of 1:33.56. Beloit edged the Vikings 87-77.

Garr Punnett - Lake Forest College
Senior - St. Paul, Minn.
Punnett won both of his individual events and contributed to a pair of relay victories in Lake Forest’s 187-93 victory over visiting Carthage College on Saturday. Punnett led off the winning 400m-medley relay that finished in 4:03.69, just a second off the pool record and more than eight seconds ahead of Carthage. After placing first in the 100m-backstroke (1:00.69) and 100m-butterfly (57.62) by a combined 6.39 seconds, he helped the home team win the 400m-freestyle relay in 3:39.95. Carthage entered the meet listed 20th in the first Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Division III Top 25 rankings of the year.

Ben Weideman - Grinnell College
Junior - Iowa City, Iowa
Weideman was a quadruple winner as the Pioneers rolled past Luther College 212.5-85.5 on Saturday. He won the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes in 54.61 and 2:02.49, respectively. Weideman also swam on the first-place 200 medley relay team that finished in 1:41.40 and the winning 400 freestyle squad that had a time of 3:17.67.

Daniel Goldstein - Grinnell College
Sophomore - Ann Arbor, Mich.
Goldstein set a Grinnell College and Russell K. Osgood Pool record in three-meter diving in Saturday’s dual with the Illinois Institute of Technology. Goldstein’s score of 324.45, which also qualified him for the NCAA Regional Championships, broke both the school and pool records of 319.72 he set last year. Goldstein also won one-meter diving with a score of 288.95.

Kristofer Korth - Lake Forest College
Sophomore - Valencia, Calif.
Korth helped lead Lake Forest to a runner-up finish at the highly-competitive Carthage Winter Classic over the weekend. He won the 1650-free in 16:36.45, a time that would have won the event at the 2013 MWC Championships. He also tied for third in the 100-breaststroke (59.86) and finished third by himself in the 200-breaststroke (2:08.25). In addition, Korth placed fifth in the 400-IM (4:16.77) and swam on a pair of relays that posted conference-best times, including the school record-setting 800-free. His times in the 1650-free, 100-breast, 200-breast, and 400-IM are all currently top times in the MWC.

Michael Brus - Grinnell College
Senior - Davenport, Iowa
Brus won a pair of events in the Pioneers’ dual meet with Connecticut College, the eighth-ranked team in the nation, at Naples, Fla. He claimed top honors in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:59.94 and 500 freestyle in 4:46.99. He currently has the top time in the MWC in the latter. The defending national 200 backstroke champion also competed on the 200 freestyle relay team that had a time of 1:31.14.

Ian Dixon-Anderson - Grinnell College
Freshman - Princeton Junction, N.J.
Dixon-Anderson played a big role in the Pioneers winning their own Grinnell Invitational for the third year in a row last weekend. He placed second in the 200-yard butterfly and 400 individual medley with times of 2:00.31 and 4:14.66, respectively. His time in the latter is second-best in the MWC this season. Dixon-Anderson was third in the 500 freestyle in 4:47.33 and 100 butterfly in 54.78. The 500 free time also ranks second in the MWC.

Michael Brus - Grinnell College
Senior - Davenport, Iowa
Brus set a Grinnell school and Macalester College pool record with his victory in the 1650-yard freestyle in Saturday’s dual meet. Brus swam the race in 16:33.11, breaking his previous Pioneer best of 16:35.02 set last season. That clocking is tops in the MWC this season. The defending NCAA Division III national 200 backstroke champion also took second in the 200 butterfly in 54.77.

Joseph Lytle - Grinnell College
Senior - Naples, Fla.
Lytle had a big performance as the Pioneers swept Simpson College and the University of Nebraska Swim Club in duals Friday, and then defeated Coe College on Saturday to improve to 7-1 on the season. On Friday, he was on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team that had a time of 1:33.13 and also finished second in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly in 22.52 and 54.66, respectively. On Saturday, he won the 500 freestyle in 4:54.16 and swam on two runner-up relays.
