INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Cornell College’s Isaac vanWestrienen has qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships, set for Saturday, November 23, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Indiana. The event is hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, with the men’s race starting at 11:00 a.m. CT.
VanWestrienen, the 2024 Midwest Conference (MWC) Men's Cross Country Individual Champion, secured his spot in the championship field with a fourth-place finish at last weekend’s Midwest Region Championships, clocking a time of 24:23.6. Last season, vanWestrienen competed in the NCAA Men’s Cross Country Championship, finishing 65th overall.
The championship will feature 32 teams and 70 individual qualifiers, including the top seven student-athletes from each region who are not part of a qualifying team. The top-40 finishers will earn All-America honors.
