MWC Performers of the Week - September 3, 2025

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played August 25-31, 2025, on Wednesday.
 
MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.
 
For the fall season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (football, soccer) and Tuesday (cross country, women’s tennis, volleyball) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship. This week, honorees are recognized on Tuesday and Wednesday following the Labor Day holiday.
 
The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:
 
Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week
Lance Miller, Knox College
Lance Miller picked up where he left off last year, reaching the podium in the first race of the year at the Bob Schultz Invite hosted by Loras College. The senior completed the 5K course in 15:27.1, good for third place. That gives him five top-three finishes in his career, three of which came last fall.
 
Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week
Lidia Dahlman, Cornell College
Dahlman kicked off her sophomore season with a runner-up finish at the Bob Schultz Invitational in Dubuque. She covered the 5K layout in 18:55, only 1.6 seconds behind the individual champion. Dahlman led the Rams to the team title, edging second-place Loras by a 31-34 margin.
 
Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week
Pari Chavan, Grinnell College
Chavan got her season off on a strong note, winning the No. 1 singles title at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational. Chavan cruised through the first two rounds, winning 6-0, 6-1 against a foe from UW-La Crosse and then beating a woman from the host school 6-4, retired. In the title match, Chavan emerged victorious over Xingchen Liu of Carthage in a 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 thriller. Grinnell won the team title for the third year in a row.
 
Volleyball Defensive Performer of the Week
Alana Robertson, Monmouth College
Alana Robertson did a little bit of everything for the Scots over the weekend at the Marian Invitational. After 3 matches she leads the MWC with 11 blocks and she posted a career-best seven in Saturday's 3-1 win over Marian. Playing as a middle and a setter, Robertson also tallied 12 kills on the weekend with seven against Marian and four against Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She led the Scots with 25 assists in a 3-2 loss to Benedictine on Saturday and finished the weekend with 44 assists, 22 digs, 11 assists, 12 kills, two aces and she hit .344.
 
Volleyball Offensive Performer of the Week
Margaret Hahnke, Lawrence University
Margaret Hahnke was named to the all-tournament team at the St. Norbert Chick-fil-A Invitational as she led the Vikings to a 3-1 record. Hahnke piled up 71 kills, an average of 4.73 per set, while hitting .258 in the four-match stretch. She posted a weekend-best 25 kills in a four-set win over Hamline. Hahnke also collected eight service aces for the weekend. Hahnke was just as impressive on defense as she picked up 67 digs, an average of 4.47 per set.
