MOUNT VERNON, Iowa —
On Cornell's growing line of volleyball All-Americans,
Ilah Perez-Johnson is now at the forefront as the program's only three-timer.
Perez-Johnson has been selected to the
2024 NCAA Division III All-America Second Team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, as announced Wednesday by the AVCA.
Cornell's dynamic fifth-year outside hitter is among 14 players chosen to this year's second team, after earning honorable mention accolades in 2023 and 2022.
Perez-Johnson is the sixth Ram to land on one of the three All-America teams since 2013. Rory Light (second team) was the last to achieve the feat in 2022.
The Rams have produced an All-American player in 11 of the past 14 seasons under head coach
Jeff Meeker. The program has collected 16 total All-America awards during that span.
Perez-Johnson's name is etched in the school record book 28 times. The 5-foot-9 shot-maker is Cornell's career leader with 224 ace serves, the fourth-highest total in Midwest Conference history. She broke single-season program marks this fall for kills (488) and attack attempts (1,296).
Perez-Johnson is a four-time all-MWC performer, garnering first team honors each of the past three years. The 2023 MWC Player of the Year, she earned first team all-region accolades three consecutive seasons.
Perez-Johnson accumulated a whopping 59 double-doubles (kills-digs) in 128 career matches with the Rams. Entering next week's NCAA quarterfinals, she ranks No. 8 nationally in points (567) and No. 9 in kills (488). Perez-Johnson hit .226 with 4.07 kills per set this fall. She also totaled 326 digs (2.72 dps), 54 aces and 45 blocks.

A four-year participant in the NCAA Tournament, Perez-Johnson led the Rams to a perfect 40-0 career record in MWC competition. She was named all-tournament at the 2023 NCAA Regional, which Cornell hosted and reached the semifinals.
The 2024 Rams finished 19-12 overall and won the MWC regular-season title for the 12th consecutive season.
