OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – For the third time in the last four seasons, Lake Forest College will be the site of the Midwest Conference (MWC) Men’s Soccer Tournament as play kicks off this weekend.

The single-elimination tournament begins with two semifinal matches at Farwell Field on Friday, November 7. Top seed Lake Forest will face fourth-seeded Ripon College at 11:00 a.m., while the second seed Beloit College squares off against third-seeded Grinnell College at 2:00 p.m.

Friday’s winners will meet in the championship match on Saturday, November 8, at 1:00 p.m., with the tournament title and the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament on the line.

Finishing off a perfect 8-0 Midwest Conference schedule last weekend, top-seeded Lake Forest has won 17 of 18 matches this season, sporting 12 shutouts. Head coach Dan Andrews’ club is ranked third in the latest NCAA Division III Region IX rankings and is looking for its fourth consecutive MWC Tournament title (and fourth straight NCAA Tournament berth).

Beloit (7-8-4) is making its 16th MWC Tournament appearance in school history, though it is the Buccaneers’ first postseason trip since 2012. Beloit earned a 2-1 win over Cornell last weekend to punch its ticket to Lake Forest. The Bucs are seeking their first-ever MWC Tournament crown and first NCAA Tournament berth in school history.

Grinnell (5-7-5) qualified for the MWC Tournament for the fifth consecutive season thanks to its 1-0 win at Knox on Saturday. The Pioneers are looking for their first MWC Tournament title (and first NCAA Tournament bid) since 2009.

Ripon (10-6-2) is back in the Midwest Conference Tournament for the first time since 2022, and just the third time since 2010. The Red Hawks defeated Lawrence 3-1 on the road last season to extend their season. Ripon won four consecutive MWC Tournament titles from 1997-2000, but is looking for its first tournament title and NCAA berth in 25 years.
