GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College scored 950.5 points to win the 2025 Midwest Conference (MWC) Swimming & Diving Championships. The Pioneers have now won nine consecutive league titles and hold a conference-best 46 overall, including 21 of the last 23.
On Sunday, Grinnell secured first-place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke (Sam Larsen), 100-yard freestyle (Rommin Adl), and 200-yard breaststroke (Keely Yeager). Evan Feilmeyer set a meet record and achieved an NCAA “B” cut in the 200-yard butterfly, while the 400-yard freestyle relay team (Adl, Donovan, Feilmeyer, Fitzgerald) set both a meet and conference record, earning an NCAA “A” cut.
Grinnell’s Evan Feilmeyer was named MWC Newcomer of the Year, while Kevin Fitzgerald earned MWC Swimmer of the Year honors.
St. Norbert College secured second place with 602.5 points, while Lake Forest College finished third with 594 points. The Foresters’ Gavin Biccum claimed victory in the 1650-yard freestyle, and Clayton Berg was honored with the MWC Elite 20 award, presented to the student-athlete at the championship meet with the highest cumulative grade-point average.
Illinois College placed fourth with 332 points, and head coach Christopher Sykes was named MWC Men’s Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year.
Lawrence University rounded out the top five with 317.5 points. The Vikings’ Jackson Bertman was named MWC Diver of the Year for the third consecutive year.
The final standings were completed by Monmouth College (186), Beloit College (168.5), and Ripon College (94).
