Indianapolis, Indiana – Grinnell College will make its first NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament appearance in 24 years on Friday, March 7, when the Pioneers take on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville at 7:10 p.m.
Grinnell finished second in the MWC regular-season standings with a 20-7 overall record (11-5 MWC) and went on to win the 2025 MWC Men’s Basketball Tournament title, securing the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA postseason. This marks the program’s fourth NCAA Tournament appearance.
Wisconsin-Platteville (25-2 overall, 13-1 WIAC) swept the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles for the second consecutive season, earning its program’s 16th NCAA Tournament appearance. The Pioneers will host the first and second rounds.
In the opening game on Friday, Wisconsin Lutheran College (25-3 overall, 16-2 NACC) will face Calvin University (21-6 overall, 14-0 MIAA) at 4:40 p.m.
The winners of both games will advance to play on Saturday, March 8, at 7:10 p.m. All games will be held at UW-Platteville’s Williams Fieldhouse on Bo Ryan Court.
