GRINNELL, Iowa - After a national search, Brock Reisler has been selected as the Midwest Conference’s (MWC) next Assistant Executive Director. In this role, he will oversee sports information and communications, coordinate end-of-season tournaments and championships, and serve as advisor of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Reisler’s first day with the league is June 23.
"I am incredibly humbled to be chosen as the Assistant Executive Director at the Midwest Conference,” commented Reisler. “I have followed this conference closely for a very long time, and my work within the Midwest Conference has strengthened my admiration and appreciation for this historic league.”
Reisler comes from MWC member institution Ripon College where he has spent the past two years as the Director of Athletic Communications. During his tenure with the Red Hawks, Brock elevated the quantity and quality of content posted to the athletic department’s website, as well as collaborated with the institution’s marketing department to promote the success of Ripon College student-athletes, coaches and teams. He also assisted with regular-season game day administration and the institution’s hosting of the 2024 MWC Indoor Track & Field Championship and 2024 & 2025 MWC Women’s Basketball Tournaments.
Reisler is a member of the Midwest Conference Awards & Recognition Committee and serves as the league’s representative to the NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Region VII Committee. He has been on multiple coaching search committees and participated on the Ripon College Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.
“Brock brings a history with and a passion for the Midwest Conference,” says Heather Benning, Executive Director of the league. “But what really excited me about Brock during the interview process was his articulated desire for professional growth.
“I know he will bring a fresh perspective to our sport communications and capably fill the current duties associated with the role, but I’m most looking forward to another opportunity to mentor and support someone toward their career goals within intercollegiate athletics.”
Of the opportunity, Reisler stated: “This is a dream job for me, and I look forward to working with Heather Benning and the member institutions to continue creating meaningful experiences for each individual connected with the conference. I would also like to express my gratitude to Ripon College and Pepperdine University for the role those institutions have played in my professional career."
Reisler earned Bachelor’s degrees in Sport Management and Marketing from Ohio University (2021), and a Master’s degree in Leadership in Higher Education from Pepperdine University (2023). While at Ohio, he was the head baseball student manager for the Division I program from 2017-2019, traveling with the team and assisting with social media content, film, team travel and on-field operations. Reisler served as an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at Pepperdine, where he was the primary media contact for the Waves’ nationally-ranked Division I men’s and women’s tennis programs, along with women’s swimming and diving.
Reisler is a native of Bonduel, Wisconsin, and currently lives with his wife, Michelle, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
