OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played September 8-14, 2025, on Monday.
MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.
For the fall season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (football, soccer) and Tuesday (cross country, women’s tennis, volleyball) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.
The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:
Football Defensive Performer of the Week
Julius Jenkins, Cornell College
Jenkins wreaked havoc in Chicago's offensive backfield all game, posting 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. The junior defensive end was 0.5 tackles for loss shy of the single-game school record. Jenkins finished with a career-high 14 tackles, including seven solo stops.
Football Offensive Performer of the Week
Kyle Leonard, Illinois College
Leonard caught nine passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner from 19 yards out in overtime as IC beat Lake Forest, 28-25, on Saturday to push the Blueboys to 2-0 for the first time since 2013. Leonard also completed his only pass attempt of the game for 15 yards.
Football Special Teams Performer of the Week
Mylee Hansen, Monmouth College
Mylee Hansen became the first female in Monmouth history to kick a field goal on Saturday. She added another field goal and three extra points to finish with nine points on the day as she made all five kicks attempted. Her made field goals came from 21 and 30 yards. Hansen's 9 points are a Monmouth and MWC record for points in a game by a female and believed to be among the most ever at any NCAA level.
Men’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week
Owen Murray, Monmouth College
Owen Murray had a big week for the Fighting Scots with four goals as Monmouth went 2-0. Murray scored both goals in a 2-1 road win at Eureka. He then scored the first and third goals in a 3-0 home win over Buena Vista on Saturday. Murray is tied for first in the MWC with 2 game winning goals, tied for 2nd in goals and tied for fourth in points on the season.
Men’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week
Sam Satisky, Lake Forest College
Satisky helped Lake Forest post a pair of shutouts last week. He converted a penalty kick opportunity during Wednesday's 4-0 victory at Wisconsin Lutheran and helped limit the Warriors to just three shot attempts in the contest. The sophomore also played all 90 minutes of Friday's 1-0 triumph over Illinois Tech, the 23rd-ranked team in the nation.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week
Greta Norville, Lake Forest College
Norville stopped 15 of 16 shots on goal during a pair of Lake Forest victories last week. The senior's eight saves during Tuesday's 4-0 win at MSOE were the most by a Forester in a shutout since last in the 2021 season and she made seven more saves, including two in the final seven minutes, in Saturday's 2-1 triumph at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week
Izzy DeStefano, Lake Forest College
DeStefano racked up 10 points during Lake Forest's three victories last week. The senior midfielder assisted on a pair of goals during Tuesday's 4-0 win at MSOE, scored three times in just 30 minutes on the field during Thursday's 8-0 rout of Benedictine, and set up both Forester tallies in a 2-1 triumph at Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday.
