OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) received a pair of national honors on Tuesday morning as Monmouth’s Mylee Hansen and Cornell’s Julius Jenkins were named to the
D3football.com Team of the Week.
Hansen became the first female in Monmouth history to kick a field goal on Saturday. She added another field goal and three extra points to finish with nine points on the day as she made all five kicks attempted. Her made field goals came from 21 and 30 yards. Hansen's 9 points are a Monmouth and MWC record for points in a game by a female and believed to be among the most ever at any NCAA level.
Jenkins wreaked havoc in Chicago's offensive backfield all game, posting 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. The junior defensive end was 0.5 tackles for loss shy of the single-game school record. Jenkins finished with a career-high 14 tackles, including seven solo stops.
