NEENAH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) continues to earn recognition from D3football.com Team of the Week, as UChicago’s freshman Hank Phenicie earned national honors Tuesday morning.

Phenicie helped the Maroons hold Monmouth to 12-for-27 passing for 160 yards. The freshman made seven total tackles, six of those were solo, and he also added a tackle for loss and three pass breakups in the 23-17 loss. UChicago held Monmouth to 23 points, which is the fewest in any MWC game since 2023.

The freshman's selection brings the MWC season total to 17 honorees, the conference’s highest total since the league began tracking the award in 2014.

This is the 28th season D3football.com has selected a Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week.
