Gardner, Claussen-Tubbs Earn Indoor All-American Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Two Midwest Conference athletes competed at last weekend’s (March 13-14) 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
 
Cornell College’s Ava Claussen-Tubbs ran in the 800-meter run, while Illinois College’s Riley Gardner was a participant in the high jump.
 
Gardner had the conference’s best showing, earning All-American honors with an eighth-place finish (1.70m). Claussen-Tubbs took 16th in the 800 prelims, clocking a 2:14.26 time, to earn second team All-American laurels.
