OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played April 13-19, 2026, on Monday.
MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.
For the spring seasons, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (baseball, softball) and Tuesday (men’s tennis, outdoor track and field) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.
The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Nate Pacetti, Cornell College
Pacetti pitched Cornell's first nine-inning complete game in two years Saturday in a 7-1 road win over Monmouth. The senior recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts and scattered six hits. Pacetti gave up one unearned run in the eighth inning.
Baseball Positional Performer of the Week
Stuart Cash, Grinnell College
Cash hit the trifecta, belting homers in three consecutive at-bats in a 17-5 victory over Beloit College Saturday. Cash tied a school record for homers in a game with three and also had 13 total bases, which ranks third in program history. Grinnell posted its first-ever regular-season sweep of Beloit while remaining in the MWC lead with a 10-2 mark. For the week, Cash hit .571 by going 8-of-14 with three homers, two doubles, eight RBIs and six runs scored. He had a 1.357 slugging percentage and .600 on-base percentage while also going 6-of-6 in stolen bases.
Softball Pitcher of the Week
Daelynn Rhoades, Cornell College
Rhoades allowed just two runs (none earned) and struck out 10 over nine innings pitched in two starts last week. The senior fanned six over four innings in a 2-1 loss to Illinois College. Rhoades tossed five shutout innings in a 7-1 win over Beloit.
Softball Positional Performer of the Week
Karliegh Ashby, Monmouth College
Karliegh Ashby had a record-setting day on Sunday as Monmouth swept Rose-Hulman in the Scots’ only games of the week. Ashby tied a 37-year-old school record by scoring five runs in game one, a 13-5 Scots win. She was 7-for-9 on the day with seven runs scored, two doubles, two stolen bases and two RBI in the leadoff spot. Ashby was 4-for-5 in game one with the record-tying five runs scored while also adding two steals and a double. In the game two win, she was 3-for-4 with two more runs scored and another double. Ashby leads the MWC in hits (42) while batting .417 on the season with 12 doubles and 27 runs scored.
