OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – Two Midwest Conference programs are spotted in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Men’s Computerized Team Rankings as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon, as Grinnell College moved up to 21st and Lake Forest College rose to 43rd.
With a 13-5 overall record, Grinnell opened Midwest Conference play with a pair of shutouts on Saturday (April 4) as the Pioneers swept Ripon College and Lawrence University, each by scores of 7-0. Grinnell hosts Illinois College and Monmouth College on Saturday, April 11 looking to lock up a Midwest Conference Tournament berth with two wins.
Lake Forest is on a seven-match win streak, opening MWC action last Saturday with a pair of 7-0 shutouts over Monmouth and Illinois College. George Ciuca was named the league’s Performer of the Week following a 4-0 day in singles and doubles. With a record of 11-5, all five of the Foresters’ losses have come to ranked opponents. The Foresters host Ripon and Lawrence this Saturday (April 11) looking to clinch a MWC Tournament spot with two victories.
