Illinois College Softball Heads to WashU For NCAA Regionals

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Illinois College softball program has been selected to its third NCAA Division III Softball Tournament in school history after sweeping both the Midwest Conference regular season and tournament championships. With a record of 33-10 (15-1 MWC), the Lady Blues will take part in their third NCAA regional in the last six seasons.
 
Illinois College heads to WashU in St. Louis, Missouri to take on UW-Oshkosh (30-8-1) in the first round scheduled for Thursday, May 14.
 
The Titans, ranked 20th in the National Power Index and second in the NCAA Region VIII rankings, received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after falling in the WIAC Tournament semifinals. In 2026, UW-Oshkosh won the outright WIAC regular season title for the second time in the last three years.
 
In Friday’s other game, the host WashU Bears (28-5) will take on Capital University (21-17), with both teams receiving automatic qualification bids to the NCAA Tournament.
 
Game times have not yet been announced. Friday, May 15 will feature one winner’s bracket game and two elimination games, with two teams advancing to compete for the regional championship on Saturday, May 16.
