OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — For the 12th consecutive full season, a Midwest Conference baseball player has been named an All-American as Grinnell College’s Nikolas Ruden was a second team selection by
D3baseball.com and a third team choice by the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings on Thursday (May 28).
Ruden – a first team All-MWC choice earlier this month and an All-Region honoree by both
D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings this week – hit .391 with 8 home runs, 52 RBI and 48 runs scored in 2026. The second baseman totaled 27 extra-base hits and racked up 109 total bases en route to a 1.167 OPS.
Leading the way for one of the top two offenses in the Midwest Conference, Ruden’s average, OPS, RBI, total bases, doubles (16), triples (3), slugging percentage (.677), on-base percentage (.490) and sacrifice flies (4) all ranked in the top five in the league. He set a school record for games played in a season (43) and stolen base percentage in a season (1.000) while ranking in the top 10 of the Grinnell record books in eight categories.
