OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played April 27-May 3, 2026, on Monday.

MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.

For the spring seasons, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (baseball, softball) and Tuesday (men’s tennis, outdoor track and field) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.

The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:

Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Shea Goel, Grinnell College
Goel posted a measly 1.50 ERA in two appearances giving up just one earned run in six innings while striking out two. Opponents hit just .143 against him as the Pioneers sewed up their first-ever MWC title.

Baseball Positional Performer of the Week
Alex Ramus, Ripon College
Ramus went 4-for-5 with four runs scored and nine RBI in a win over Knox on Sunday, hitting for the cycle. He is hitting .319 on the season with 13 doubles (tied for seventh in the MWC).

Softball Pitcher of the Week
Riley Stiles, Lake Forest College
Stiles was 2-0 with a 0.66 earned run average and nearly a strikeout per inning last week. After striking out five batters during a 5-hit shutout of Dominican on Tuesday, she celebrated Senior Day by allowing just one run in three-and-two-thirds innings as the Foresters’ rolled 14-3 in the opener against Grinnell.

Softball Positional Performer of the Week
Kaia Mismash, Lake Forest College
Mismash went 9-for-13 at the plate last week and extended her hitting streak to 36 games, matching the third-longest run in NCAA Division III history. The junior shortstop was 2-for-3 in both victories over Dominican on Tuesday and her bases loaded triple in game two brought in half of the team’s runs in the contest. Mismash had five base hits in seven trips to the plate in Saturday’s sweep of Grinnell and tied a program record with a pair of triples in game two. She also posted a 1.923 OPS and scored six runs, drove in five, and stole five bases on the week.
